Meg Whitney

Meg Whitney

‘Being mindful and present in anything you do, changes you’.

Megan Whitney believes through deepened spiritual awareness, a focused mind, and stable body yoga awakens a new way to experience yourself and your life force. Megan discovered yoga 7 years ago while earning her Landscape Architecture degree at Cal Poly. As a high energy, up beat soul, yoga offers her a way to slow down, taking time each day to turn inward and check in.  Inspired by the benefits of developing strength, focus, and self-awareness, in 2010 she decided to pursue a life long yoga journey. Megan studied Viniyoga, earning her 200 Hour Certification at Thia Ashonoah’s Sangha Circle Yoga Studies Program, under the majestic redwood trees of Occidental, California. Viniyoga, which evolved out of the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar, is an approach to yoga that adapts the asana practice to the unique conditions, needs and interests of the individual. As an artist as well as a yoga teacher, Megan aspires to creatively invite others to uncover yoga that supports where they are and where they are going. She is delighted to teach at Yoga Centre, to give back to the wonderful community she grew up in.
